Funeral for Tyler and Shelby Iubelt

The funeral for Tyler and Shelby Iubelt was held Monday at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Members of the Du Quoin Police Department, SIU students, and the Illinois Patriot Guard attended the service. Tyler, 22, and Shelby, 23, were Army Rangers and served in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. Their remains arrived Monday from Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Police escorted them to the funeral home.

PFC Tyler Ray Iubelt passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Afghanistan. The serviceman was a member of the 1st Calvary Division Sustainment Brigade. He was sworn into the Army on October 21, 2015, and was assigned to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, where he underwent basic training. He later attended advanced individual training and was deployed to Afghanistan.

Army Pfc. Tyler Ray Iubelt, an Illinois native, died in action in Afghanistan last Saturday. His body will be flown in Monday morning and escorted to the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, where there will be a visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, and burial will follow at Sunset Park in Du Quoin.

On Saturday, Iubelt’s mother and other family members gathered in a procession through his hometown of Tamaroa, Illinois, where he was raised. The procession also made a stop in Nashville, where Iubelt’s mother lives. Tyler’s mother, Shelby Iubelt, said that it is important to remember her son and keep his memory alive.

His Family

The death of Shelby Iubelt is devastating for his family and friends. His parents are Charlotte Loquasto of Nashville, Tennessee and Mike Iubelt of Newburgh, Indiana. They are the parents of 6-month-old Violet Iubelt. He is survived by his stepmother and father, Shon Logubelt. His stepfather was also a coutrespondent. He had no immediate plans for the future.

Pfc. Tyler Iubelt was killed in Afghanistan on November 12, 2016. He was in his third deployment, serving with the 1st Calvary Sustainment Brigade. His family said it was important to keep his memory alive. The procession passed through Nashville, where his mother, Charlotte Loquasto, currently lives. The love and support shown to his family during the ceremony was overwhelming. It is an honor to honor his service and sacrifice.

The Du Quoin Police Department, SIU students, and members of the Illinois Patriot Guard all attended the funeral. State officials and Governor Bruce Rauner will be present at the service. The line outside of Searby Funeral Home grew longer than the service itself. They are assisting the family in their time of need.

His Church

Gov. Bruce Rauner attended the funeral service for PFC Tyler Iubelt, who died in Afghanistan on Nov. 12. The 20-year-old was a soldier and a genuine young man. His funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin, Illinois. Governor Rauner was joined by family, friends, and co-workers. During the funeral service, Gov. Rauner paid tribute to the sacrifices of the deceased soldier.

The funeral service was attended by many people from the community and from faraway places. Those who could not make it were asked to donate to the fund set up for Tyler. Flags flew at half-staff for two days. The Army Color Guard unit displayed flags and the PCHS Chamber Choir sang the National Anthem. The church also set up a donation jar for the cause. The church and Tyler’s family would appreciate any amount of money donated to help Tyler and Violet’s education.

Thousands of people turned out for the funeral, some of them from Iubelt’s hometown, including his mother. People were surprised and touched to see so many people gathered to honor Tyler and pay their respects. The funeral was followed by military graveside rites. Many people attended the visitation on Tuesday, and a long line grew out of the funeral home. He was buried at Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin, where he had attended First Baptist Church.

His Awards

Private First Class Tyler R. Iubelt died of injuries sustained during an improvised explosive device blast in Bagram, Afghanistan. He was a member of the 1st Calvary Division Sustainment Brigade. He enlisted in the Army on October 21, 2015 and had been stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, for basic training and advanced individual training. After his training, he was assigned to Ft. Hood, TX, and eventually deployed to Afghanistan. The father of a 6-month-old daughter, he was serving his country in a tough environment.

After graduating from junior high school, Iubelt attended Tamaroa Grade School. The community is only 600 people, so news of her death spread quickly. Teachers and classmates alike were fond of her and admired her dedication to education. Iubelt often visited the school after graduation. The school has been planning a formal ceremony in honor of the honoree and her family. And the community has come together to support her family.

Tyler Iubelt’s funeral was attended by the Du Quoin Police Department, SIU students and the Illinois Patriot Guard. The military and community attended the funeral for their son. The family received a massive amount of support on social media. His widow and infant daughter are devastated and surrounded by friends and family. Their funeral was held at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. The family received several awards, and several of the soldiers’ parents have donated them.

There was also a donation jar set up at the funeral so that anyone could donate to Violet’s education fund. During the service, friends and family paid tribute to the Army Ranger’s memory by sharing photos of the couple with their loved ones.

His Home

On Saturday, November 12, 2016, PFC Tyler Ray Iubelt, a 20-year-old from Tamaroa, Illinois was killed by an improvised explosive device. The suicide bomber was affiliated with the Taliban and was responsible for the attack. He was on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan. The funeral was held at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Iubelt will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.

His family is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support that they have received since his death. His parents, sister, and daughter, Violet Iubelt, are also overwhelmed with the outpouring of support. The funeral home is currently accepting donations for Violet’s education fund. There are also many other ways to remember Shelby. A memorial for his life may be made to the family. If you are moved to give a gift in his honor, you can do so at the funeral home.

A memorial fund will be established in his name. A check can be made out to Shelby Iubelt, and a card will be left at the funeral home. The family has requested that donations be made in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the family’s remembrance fund. The family is grateful for any donation, no matter how small. The remembrance of her husband will live on in Tyler’s memory.
