He also studies the connection between language and neurologic diseases, especially acquired psychogenic speech disturbances. His research is incorporated across various branches of science and incorporates perspectives from various fields, such as developmental psychology, pathology, neurology, language assessment, and physical medicine.

Duffy’s research includes research on several different types of voices and voice disorders. He has studied several forms of Aphasia and Primary progressive aphasia. In his work, he has integrated various technologies including Positron emission tomography, Neuroimaging, and Visual memory.

Joseph R. Duffy’s Wrestling Promotion

Duffy’s wrestling promotion has made waves in Michigan. He has worked with both the Michigan High School Athletic Association and the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. He helped orchestrate the inaugural postseason conference tournament in 2012, and in 2015, he helped bring the MHSAA Girls Wrestling State Championships to Adrian College. In addition, Duffy has helped the college host the first NCAA Collegiate Women’s Wrestling National Championship in 2020.

In a lightweight bout, Duffy beats the unbeaten Conor McGregor. The bout was the highlight of the Fight Pass prelims, and Duffy was the winner. Duffy beat McGregor with a ground choke, rag-doll move, and choke hold. Duffy had beaten Ireland’s favorite son and had a solid reputation.

Joseph R. Duffy’s Sons

Joseph R. Duffy passed away on November 18, 2018. He was born July 28, 1921 in Johnstown, Illinois. He is survived by his son Michael Duffy and daughter Barbara Antesberger of Portage, Oklahoma. He also has several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Louise Duffy.

Joseph was married for 61 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the nocturnal adoration society. He was also a member of the Hasler-Kamp Post American Legion and the Pawling Lion’s Club. He was also exempt from the Pawling Fire Department. His family is comprised of his son David and daughter Colleen, their son Michael and his wife Lisa, as well as his great-grandchildren Lane and Brian.

Joseph R. Duffy died on March 24, 2006. He was the husband of Joan M. Clifford and father of two sons, Paul C. Duffy of Wilmington. He was also the brother of Mary E. McGoldrick of Marlboro and Ruth T. Duffy of Arlington, VA. His wife and children survive him. His nieces and nephews also survive him.

Duffy’s research interests included the treatment of neurologic motor speech disorders and the identification of their clinical features. His work in these areas helped to establish neurologic correlations and refine the differential diagnosis. These studies will lead to improved clinical diagnosis and improved treatment and patient outcomes. Ultimately, his work will benefit patients with neurological disorders in the early stages.

His research has influenced research in several fields, including developmental psychology, language assessment, and neurology.

Joseph R. Duffy’s Death

During his career, Joseph Duffy owned Duffy Television Sales and Service. He was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Portage and was a nocturnal adoration society member. In addition, he cofounded Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers. Duffy passed away on February 1, 2021, after a courageous battle with ALS.

Born on July 28, 1921, Joseph R. Duffy served in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. After the war, he opened a radio repair shop in Portage, Oklahoma. Duffy also owned a radio and electronic equipment business, which he ran for several years.

He was married for sixteen years and had eleven children. His youngest children were Joseph W. Duffy, Jr., 13 years old, and Dorothy P. Duffy, twelve. His other children included James P., nine, and Mary K. Duffy. Duffy’s oldest daughter, Betty Davis, died at age four. His children, including Norman Duffy, are buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Todd Duffy was born on February 17, 1951. He grew up in Beaver Lake, Franklin, NJ. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1969 to 1975. Todd Duffy is a third generation Funeral Director. He joined the Joseph G. Duffy Funeral Home in Brooklyn, NY. He was also a police officer in Byram Township, NJ, for 20 years, and was promoted to Detective in 2003.

Joseph R. Duffy’s Grandson

Joseph R. Duffy Georgia was born in 1925 and raised in Washington, Iowa. He graduated from Salesianum Catholic High School in 1958 and attended the University of Delaware. After completing his studies, he attended IBM Computer School. Later, he worked as a computer programmer and systems analyst for the DuPont Company and General Motors. He also served as director of telecommunications for Siemens Corp. in Boca Raton, Florida.

Duffy was married for 61 years. Several family members preceded him in death. During World War II, Duffy served as a Tech Sgt. and managed a repair shop for bombers. He later opened his own radio sales and repair shop on Caldwell Avenue in Portage.

Duffy died peacefully on February 1, 2018, at the age of 57. He was a retired US Air Force veteran and member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors and spent time on dirt bikes, skiing, and boating. His family was very important to him. He was the proud father of son Arthur and grandson Aiden.
