In the beginning, my love for food was a secret love. I’d never been much of a ‘foodie’ until I met my husband. And now that he’s home from work and we have our own place, the kitchen is filled with hungry people! I can never have too many foodie friends. Enter: Food & Wine Weekly’s Best New Chefs competition! For those of you who don’t know, food blogs are a dime a dozen. The websites usually have lots of useless information such as how much calories are in a certain food item or the difference between a steak and a filet mignon. The only difference with mine is that I love to share my passion for food with others.
What is your Favorite Food?
For my favorite food, I have to give it to my husband, a steak and a glass of Cab Sav. My husband does not eat red meat, but when he does he loves the flavors that come with it. Steaks are always marinated, grilled, or sauteed so they are super easy leana loving to show off.
What is your Favorite Wine?
For my favorite wine, I have to give it to my husband, who also happens to be a wine lover. He loves to experiment with new wines and try out new restaurants. We always end up going to the same places so he has an idea of what he likes.
What Excites you Most about the Future of Fine Dining?
Staying at home: We’ve done it! We’ve finally done it! We finally have a family-friendly restaurant that is kid-friendly! What a concept! We are definitely going to try out the new menu items and see how they do. Retail: Delays are frustrating and costly, but we’ll get through it. We love our job and we love coming home to our store.

I would love to go to Hong Kong one day. It is one of my favorite places to visit. And to visit the Great Wall of China would also be so fun! I’ve also always wanted to visit Paris so we could go to the Eiffel Tower and see the city from the top.
Final Words
The best part leana loving about winning this competition is that I get to spend some quality time with my husband. When we win, he gets to come home for two weeks and I get to enjoy him company. What could be better? That’s all I have to say about that.
