He argued that referencing the second person would violate Moord’s Sixth Amendment right of confrontation. Even though Fletcher’s statements were not inadmissible, they were admitted to evidence over Moord’s objection.

Meanwhile, the Texas high court has denied an emergency request to temporarily block the state’s abortion ban. The decision upholds the most restrictive abortion law in the nation. In addition, President Joe Biden has called for a whole government effort to protect the right to abortion.
The Texas abortion law, which bans abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, faces a second challenge. The state’s abortion law has been called unconstitutional by a federal judge. On October 18, the Justice Department filed a brief asking the court to block the state’s enforcement of the law.
The case before the Supreme Court aims to protect the right to abortion. The case is an appeal of the decision in Roe v. Wade. The Supreme Court will rule on whether to overrule the precedents in the case. If the Supreme Court does overrule the decision, it will uphold the unconstitutional law. A ruling on the case will be made on December 1.
