Miasma Haunted House Review

Introduction

Is the Miasma Haunted House the most terrifying haunted house in Texas? Yes, it is. It features costumed actors, low-lit passageways, and themed rooms. Here is my review of this heretic haunted house. The experience is definitely not for the faint of heart. You can learn all about the attraction in our Miasma haunted house review.

Miasma Haunted House Review

A Chicago-based haunted house company called Miasma has been creating immersive horror experiences since 2014. While the creators are successful with their previous shows, they have never settled for what they have. This year, they’ve gone beyond their previous successes to push the boundaries of horror, combining science fiction with body horror, religious themes, and raw human emotions. The results are terrifying and incredibly immersive.

Heretic Haunted House

A haunted house should never be confined to Halloween, but the Heretic haunted house in Miasma combines both. It is a horror attraction based on simulated abuse and claustrophobia. You’ll be terrified as you walk down the hallways, where some parts of the experience are too real to be true, and you’ll feel like you’re being nailed to a coffin! The actors are well-trained to use their bodies in unusual ways.

Miasma Haunted House walkthrough

The miasma haunted house is a unique horror experience. It requires full participation from its audience. Its minimal sets and atmospheric effects mean that the story remains the center of attention. As Justin Dawson puts it, the best horror experiences are those where “fear and emotion collide.” That is exactly what happens at Miasma. As a result, this haunted house is unlike any other you’ve visited.

Existential Haunted House

The Existential Haunting is an elaborate Halloween event in downtown Los Angeles, and its focus is on making you feel bad. A visit to the haunted house is a chance to revisit the events of your life that shaped you into who you are. It is one of the few haunted houses in the world focused exclusively on a single emotional story arch. This one is a must-see for Halloween-goers who want to be frightened to their core.

Stag haunted House

The Stag haunted house is the modern take on a real-life horror experience. These immersive haunted houses involve participants in their own story. They’re interactive experiences involving intense physical contact and extreme elements, usually involving the victim and the actor. Unlike traditional haunted houses, Stag is not focused on voyeurism, but on a range of topics such as abuse, addiction, and sexual taboos. Stag shows feature intense thematic material, physical contact, sensory deprivation, and electricity.

Catharsis Haunted House

If you’re looking for a terrifying haunted experience in Orlando, look no further than Catharsis. The new immersive haunted house will open for 13 nights this fall, giving visitors the ultimate experience in fright. The haunted house features theatrical lighting, sound design, and an original score, and each experience is unique and tailored to each participant. While many Orlando haunted houses are seasonal, Catharsis will change themes every four months to bring you the most gruesome experience possible.

While most haunted houses have multiple actors to scare the pants off their guests, Catharsis is the first to feature a community-based system of interaction with performers. Instead of just focusing on the horror of tormentors who are playing actual guests, visitors can interact with the actors and offer directions to the actors. This helps push the tormentors harder in their role, but it can also be a privacy invasion.

Alone Haunted House

A stand-alone haunted house in Northridge is one of the best in Los Angeles. The haunted house, a spin-off of Hallowed Haunting Grounds, uses an electronic guide to lead guests through the maze-like mansion, rather than jump and grab scares. While the house isn’t scary, it does have plenty of scares that will keep you on your toes.

Avoid the Miasma Haunted House

If you’re allergic to dust, you may want to avoid the Miasma Haunted House. Located underground, this attraction features low-lit passageways and costumed actors. There are also plenty of opportunities to scare yourself silly in the 17th Door. While you’re at it, check out Lemp Brewery Haunted House and Kim’s Krypt Haunted Mill.

Avoiding miasma haunted house if you suffer from asthma

You should avoid the haunted house if you suffer from any sort of medical condition. People with asthma, heart conditions, or even allergies should avoid them at all costs. Asthma is a serious condition and you may not want to risk triggering an attack. To avoid triggering an attack, keep your distance from haunted houses and bring your inhalers along with you.

The 17th Door is an underground haunted house

With a history of six years, The 17th Door has emerged as a polarizing haunt with an intense focus on scares. The haunt has developed a reputation for its extreme scares, which include more than your average jump scares and are often accompanied by electric shocks and prolific water effects. Despite its high-profile and polarizing reputation, The 17th Door is still an excellent choice for fright seekers.

This year’s haunt has added new rooms, and has grown in difficulty. You’ll encounter personal pig demons and assault your five senses. With 21 rooms, this haunt is sure to test your nerves and endurance. It runs over 34 minutes, and features several different scenes, including the “Tumbler Room,” a firing squad, a gas chamber, a shock treatment room, and a cockroach lab.

The 17th Door is run on select nights until Halloween and is located on the backside of the 99 Cent Store in Fullerton. It can be found near the corner of Brookhurst St. and Orangethorpe Ave. The 17th Door is a legal release maze, so all visitors must sign a waiver before they can enter the haunted house. Guests must swear on camera that they have read the waiver. After signing, they must hand a copy of the waiver to a scareactor in the pre-show room.

Kim's Krypt Haunted Mill

Kim’s Krypt Haunt Mill is a huge haunted attraction located in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania. The property consists of 60 acres of spooky haunted fun, including four haunted attractions and an expansive midway. The Mill has been undergoing extensive renovations and updates for several years. The Terror Trail has been reconstructed from the ground up over the past two seasons, and the Haunted Mill recently underwent a major overhaul.

In addition to the haunted attraction, there’s plenty of other fun to be had outside of the mill. There’s a 5 minute zombie escape room and coffin/hearse rides, and fun midway games. The Mill also features an expanded gift shop and several food vendors. There are also several scare actors roaming the midway, so you can be sure to get spooked at every turn.

Lemp Brewery Haunted House

The Lemp Brewery is one of St. Louis’ most iconic haunts. Founded in 1840, the brewery was acquired by the Griesedieck Beverage Company in 1920. This company later became Falstaff Brewing Corporation. The entire complex is comprised of 27 buildings located on a 13.7-acre site in Marine Villa, St. Louis. You can visit the haunted house on a Halloween night for a scare!

If you’re looking for an intense fright, the Lemp Brewery Haunted House is the place for you! The haunted house is 100 feet underground, and is incredibly dark. The dark, deep rooms and a number of creepy props help create the atmosphere of a haunted house. The haunting house is inspired by the dark history of the brewery. The Brewery’s history dates back to the Cherokees, who are said to have performed rituals in the subterranean caves. The experience is sure to make you shiver!

The Haunting at Lemp Brewery Haunted House is located in a massive abandoned brewery. Visitors are led down five stories to underground caves. This is one of the scariest haunted houses in the country, and you may even encounter real ghosts! After your scare, you’ll need a stiff drink to recover! This haunted house has become one of St. Louis’ most unique haunted attractions.

While the Lemp Brewery Haunted House is an excellent place for a fright night out, it’s also a great venue for a Halloween pop-up event. The “Hell Dinner” is a new event hosted by Monaliza Kidan in the brewery’s art studio. The meal promises to be decadent and “delicious” while the eerie atmosphere makes it an unforgettable experience.

This is the only truly authentic haunted house in St. Louis. Here, strange things happen, people go missing, and strange occurrences are completely normal. This haunted house opened parts of its caves only a few years ago, but has been a hotspot for real paranormal activity. Its newer, longer version, called the House of Occult, is a must-see.
