Sarah Zachry was born in about 1900 and was forty years old in 1940. She had 2 children and lived in Atlanta, Georgia. The lawsuit alleges that each of these individuals failed to properly inspect the firearm. The lawsuit names Sarah Zachry, her husband Michael Halls, and Hannah Gutierrez-Reed as the individuals responsible for failing to check the gun.
While there is no direct evidence that Sarah Zachry was responsible for the shooting in “Rust,” cell phone evidence may shed light on the case. Sarah Zachry was one of four people to handle a gun on the set. Alec Baldwin’s character believed that the gun had been unloaded during a rehearsal, but a projectile from the gun went off during the shoot. It killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza, but Souza is on the mend.
